Every salon has a story. Ours begins with a woman, a suitcase, and a belief that beauty is never just about how we look. It is about how we feel, how we carry ourselves, and how we show up for the people who depend on us.
When I arrived in Florida, I came the way so many women do: with more courage than certainty, a family to care for, and a trade in my hands. I knew hair. I knew skin. I knew the quiet magic that happens when a woman sits down tired and leaves standing a little taller. What I did not have was a map, so I built one, appointment by appointment.
“Maison” means house, and that word was deliberate. I did not want to open just a salon. I wanted to build a home: a place where women from every background could walk in and be treated like the most important guest in the room, a place where excellence and warmth were never at odds.
Maison Carvalhos grew out of long days and longer nights, out of clients who became friends, and out of a simple promise I made to myself. No one would ever leave here feeling like an afterthought. Every highlight, every treatment, every blowout is a small act of care. That is the standard we hold, and it is the reason we exist.
